HR Assistant
Job Description
The HR Assistant is responsible for HR administration, including the preparation and maintenance of employment contracts, employee documentation, and periodical HR reports. The role involves managing the recruitment process for blue-collar and selected white-collar positions, conducting candidate interviews, and coordinating training and development activities. Key tasks include interacting with free trade zone authorities to ensure compliance, leading payroll and time and attendance activities, and providing employee relations and staffing services to assigned sites or business units. The assistant also conducts investigations into claims of harassment or guideline violations and handles clerical duties associated with payroll administration and temporary personnel coordination.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain employment contracts and other employee documentation
- Prepare periodical and special purpose HR reports (e.g. headcount, recruitment, statistics etc.)
- Counsel managers on labor related issues
- Coordinate local employee survey processes and follow-up activities
- Coordinate recruitment activities for blue collar and selected white collar positions
- Manage applicants through the system and conduct initial candidate interviews
- Communicate and interact with free trade zone authorities
- Lead payroll and time and attendance activities
- Conduct investigations into claims of harassment or other company-guideline violations
Qualifications
- Strong sense of cultural empathy to effectively cooperate with people
- Previous work experience of 3-5 years of HR related experience - preferably in international and/or manufacturing environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred
- Strong communication and presentation skills in English both spoken and written
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills with experience of planning a range of tasks effectively
- High accuracy and strong attention to detail when working with figures and finance
- Good people management, influencing and relationship building skills
- Ability to handle a number of key tasks at a time
- Positive, can-do attitude and flexible mindset
- Candidate must have hands on experience working with Dubai Trade Portal (Jafza)
- Should be on a spouse /father sponsored visa
