Gas Insulated Switchgear Specialist
Job Description
We are seeking a Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) Specialist to join the Technical Services Division. The Technical Services Division is responsible for providing and managing highly technical and specialized engineering services to support the safe and reliable operation of Saudi Aramco’s electrical transmission and distribution networks. Your primary role is to provide specialized technical support in regards to designs, standards, commissioning, maintenance, operation, investigation in order to ensure safe and reliable Power Supply.
Responsibilities
- Perform root cause analysis on critical equipment failures
- Assess maintenance programs for high voltage equipment
- Provide technical expertise to support maintenance of existing equipment
- Provide technical consultation to assess condition of aging switchgears
- Ensure work packages are designed to meet company's standards
- Review company and international standards
- Provide technical training and guidance to stakeholders
- Demonstrate an active role in commissioning of GIS
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum of 10 years of operations and maintenance experience directly working with GIS
- Membership of international engineering bodies
- Professional Engineering certifications such as chartership or PE is preferred
