Job Description
A renewable energy company is seeking a Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) to lead commercial strategy and wholesale development. The CCO will launch an internal energy trading function, manage revenue performance, and lead power purchase negotiations. This executive role requires deep expertise in energy markets and risk management.
Responsibilities
- Launch and scale an internal energy trading function
- Direct wholesale energy sourcing
- Manage external counterparties for energy and capacity transfers
- Structure and execute power purchase arrangements
- Design commercial strategies and risk governance frameworks
- Lead negotiations for new supply agreements
- Oversee financial planning and forecasting
Qualifications
- Extensive and progressive leadership experience in accounting/renewables
- Undergraduate degree in accounting or business required; MBA or CPA preferred
