Mission

Main Purpose



  • Execute preventive and corrective maintenance of RST equipment in accordance with all relevant regulations, good industry practices and international benchmark.
  • Analyse disruptions in RST equipment and accordingly execute preventive measures in supervision of RST Shift Supervisor.
  • Responsible person for any movement of RST vehicles within the depot area (manually driving the trains as well as by using a shunting vehicle) , including pre-shunting safety check, coupling/de-coupling of trains and secured parking of the vehicles within designated areas.

Profile Key Responsibilities
  • Executing of preventive and corrective maintenance including repairing of the systems covered by the maintenance section in accordance with the instructions given by the superior personnel.
  • Conduct tasks according to work schedules and periodic maintenance plans.
  • Preparation of the material as well as tools and workshop equipment required for maintenance activities.
  • Preparation of failure documentation and submitting them to superiors through CMMS
  • Assistance to the shift supervisor RST in his tasks.
  • Operation of special tools, equipment, measuring devices and maintenance vehicles required to perform maintenance and repair tasks
  • Repair of RST assets in conformance with the current technical documentation.
  • Safety and operational check of any railway vehicle before/after shunting.
  • Co-ordination and shunting of the trains from handover track to the light/heavy maintenance workspaces in manual mode or by using a shunting vehicle.
  • Power up and shut down operation of the trains, including switching on/off the components HVAC, light etc. before/after shunting operations.
  • Connecting/disconnecting the railway vehicles with/from fixed or mobile workshop 750V DC power supply (stinger operation) or charging unit.
  • Driving of the emergency response vehicle on the service line in emergency rescue situations.

Qualifications



Has a vocational training in Electrical, Electronics or Mechanical (electrician, wireman, machinist, refrigeration and air conditioning mechanic, machine tool maintenance mechanic) and minimum 2-3 years of relevant work experience;

Experience



Has experience of working in the field of maintenance for complex technical systems, preferably in railway/metro RST operation and maintenance organisation, service experience in metro train field from the contractor/sub-contractor (OEM) side specially in brake system, HVAC, TMS, propulsion, door, bogie & suspension system etc. can also be considered;



Having experience in handling the operation and maintenance of Depot Workshop Equipments is an added advantage;
