Job Description
Responsible for analysis and reporting that supports the Fraud & Risk Operations team at Wave. You'll use Risk data to deliver insights that drive decision-making for Fraud & Risk Operations while developing recommendations to support Wave’s lines of business.
Responsibilities
- Develop analysis and reporting to track business patterns and trends for Fraud & Risk Operations
- Build and deploy rules with Risk monitoring systems to prevent merchant fraud
- Identify analysis opportunities and tools to support strategic decision-making
- Lead improvements to Wave’s risk infrastructure to reduce losses
- Facilitate the creation of reporting dashboards via Looker
- Extract and transform data using SQL and dbt
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in merchant Fraud & Risk Analytics, with payments fraud experience preferred
- Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Data, or a related quantitative field
- Strong SQL skills with experience querying large and complex datasets
- Working knowledge of fraud and/or credit underwriting in payments or Fintech
- Previous experience developing reports and dashboards with Looker
