Job Description
Greenland Group. is looking for Commis I & II (ELEGANCIA ARABIA COMPANY, IRAQ) to assist senior chefs with food preparation, cleaning, and cooking in specific stations. Responsibilities include washing, peeling, cutting fruits and vegetables, and seasoning meats for production, as well as maintaining a clean, sanitized workstation and adhering to food safety guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Assisting senior chefs with food preparation, cleaning, and cooking in a specific station
- Food Preparation: Washing, peeling, cutting fruits and vegetables, and seasoning meats for production
- Station Support: Assisting the Chef de Partie with basic cooking tasks
- Hygiene & Safety: Maintaining a clean, sanitized workstation and completing temperature logs
- Inventory Management: Receiving, storing, and organizing deliveries
- Service Support: Assisting with plating and presenting dishes
Qualifications
- HSC in Food & Nutrition
- Diploma in Culinary Art in Food Science & Technology
- High school diploma, GED, or a culinary arts certification
- Previous experience in a professional kitchen is preferred
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50–55 lbs
