Lead Chocolatier & Product Development Manager
Job Description
Seroogy’s Chocolates is seeking a Lead Chocolatier to lead confectionery creation and quality. This role involves recipe stewardship, managing production equipment, and leading product innovation for seasonal and core items. The ideal candidate has expertise in chocolate tempering, enrobing, and small-batch methods.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and execute established recipes and product standards
- Operate and troubleshoot confectionery equipment (melters, enrobers, kettles)
- Lead the creation of seasonal and core new products
- Oversee product quality from raw ingredients to finished goods
- Order chocolate, inclusions, and packaging components
- Coordinate with Retail and Production managers
Qualifications
- 3–7+ years of professional experience in confectionery, chocolate production, pastry, or food manufacturing
- Demonstrated expertise in chocolate work (tempering, molding, enrobing, hand-dipping)
- Expertise in at least three major confection types (caramel, creams, truffles, barks, brittles, etc.)
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and allergens
