Oilfield Microbiology Specialist
Job Description
Enable and lead high-level technical services projects and develop innovative technical solutions to control microbiology-related challenges in downhole and surface systems for sustainable energy production.
Responsibilities
- Design laboratory test matrix and conduct laboratory studies
- Conduct root-cause analysis of microbiology-related issues in operations
- Evaluate microbial control technologies including chemical products
- Design and optimize biocide treatment programs
- Identify technical gaps and initiate research projects
- Mentor junior engineers and scientists
- Issue publications to peer-reviewed journals
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in science or engineering
- Ph.D. degree in applied microbiology, biological engineering, or related disciplines
- Minimum 15 years of experience related to microbiology in the petroleum industry
- Proven track record of research and technology development
