Deputy Ops Manager, Technical
Job Description
The Deputy Operations Manager supports the Operations Manager in leading, managing, and developing a team of electronics and communications engineers, and assists in overseeing the daily operation of Sicuro’s 24/7 Support team. This role acts as second-in-command and assumes full operational responsibility in the Operations Manager’s absence.
Responsibilities
- Assists in defining and improving operations policies for Sicuro’s 24/7 Support /GSOC team
- Supports setting clear objectives and instilling a high-performance culture
- Manages vendor platforms (SkyWave, Delorme, SPNET)
- Oversees IT hardware assets including laptops, servers, firewalls, and network switches
- Manages Linux-based servers and services
- Administers Microsoft 365 tenant services
- Oversees company applications on Google Play Store and Apple App Store
- Enforces baseline cyber security controls
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering, IT or similar; board certified
- Minimum 7 years work experience with extensive experience on GPS tracking devices
- Strong background in IT infrastructure (LAN, Linux, cloud and on-premises solutions)
- Proficiency in O365, domain/DNS/SSL, WordPress, AI-Assisted tools, and Cyber Security
- Experience in managing a technical team
