Senior Geospatial Data Analyst - Remote Sensing Specialist
Job Description
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Geospatial Data Analyst with expertise in remote sensing. You will analyze vast amounts of satellite and aerial imagery to extract actionable insights for environmental monitoring, urban planning, and resource management.
Responsibilities
- Acquire, process, and analyze remote sensing data (Landsat, Sentinel)
- Develop algorithms for image classification and feature extraction
- Create geodatabases and manage large geospatial datasets
- Develop automated workflows and scripts
- Generate high-quality maps and visualizations
- Mentor junior analysts
Qualifications
- Master's or Ph.D. degree in Geography, Remote Sensing, or related field
- Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in geospatial data analysis
- Proficiency in GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS)
- Strong programming skills in Python or R
- Experience with cloud-based geospatial platforms (e.g., Google Earth Engine)
