Inspector Material
Job Description
Inspect and verify all construction materials delivered to site to ensure compliance with RTA specifications, approved material submittals, and contract requirements. This role involves monitoring storage, handling, and protection of materials and coordinating testing schedules for soil, aggregates, concrete, and asphalt. You will maintain accurate inspection records and identify non-conforming materials.
Responsibilities
- Inspect and verify construction materials for compliance with RTA specifications
- Check material source approvals, delivery notes, and batch certificates
- Carry out sampling and witnessing of laboratory and field tests
- Monitor storage, handling, and protection of materials
- Coordinate with Material and Site Engineers regarding testing schedules
- Review and submit Work Inspection Requests (WIRs)
- Identify non-conforming materials and raise NCRs
- Maintain material logs and inspection records
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Relevant Technical Field
- 5+ years of relevant experience in laboratory materials testing including field inspection
