Mining Operations Manager
Job Description
The Mining Operations Manager will drive a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and best practices across all operational areas. Key duties include managing relationships with government agencies and local communities, collaborating with geology and engineering departments, and leading the planning and execution of mine development projects. The role involves managing budgets, ensuring compliance with mining regulations and environmental standards, and mentoring a diverse team of mining professionals.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and optimize all aspects of mining operations from extraction to processing
- Develop and implement robust safety protocols and environmental management plans
- Manage the budget and financial performance of mining operations
- Lead the planning and execution of mine development projects including feasibility studies
- Ensure compliance with all relevant mining regulations and permits
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or a related field
- Master's degree is a plus
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in mining operations
- Fluent in English
