Singhalese Linguist CAT II - CENTCOM
Job Description
Linguists will support U.S. military operations in Kuwait as Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). Responsible for providing cultural perspective and language services including translation and interpretation for Singhalese.
Responsibilities
- Provide operational contract linguist support
- Interpret during interviews and meetings
- Transcribe and analyze verbal communications
- Scan and analyze foreign language documents
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Excellent command of Singhalese & English verbal skills
- Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) level 3 in Singhalese
- Active Secret clearance
- Willing to work shifts and extended hours (24/7 operations)
