Mechanical Technician.
Job Description
Veolia seeks a Technician (Mechanical) for our Sulaibiya Waste Water Treatment & Reclamation Plant in Kuwait. The position includes maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment of Ultrafiltration (UF)/ reverse osmosis (RO) plant.
Responsibilities
- Experience in the maintenance of Ultrafiltration (UF) and Reverse Osmosis (RO) systems.
- Proven experience in leading a large team for membrane replacements and other maintenance projects.
- Proficient in troubleshooting and overhauling centrifugal pumps (Flowserve, Sulzer, Grundfos).
- Hands-on experience in overhauling dosing pumps (Milton Roy, Grundfos).
- Skilled in using SAP maintenance software.
- Experienced in creating permits and conducting risk assessments.
- Expertise in the maintenance of blowers and air compressors.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions on pumps, blowers, compressors, valves, mixers, and gearboxes.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance.
- Carry out repairs and installations of PVC lines.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/Mechanical Trade certificate/ITI.
- At least 3 years for Diploma or 8 years for Trade/ITI certificate holder work experience in rotary equipment for water treatment /chemical/Oil refineries/power plants/RO plants.
- Experience in the rotary equipment like pumps, compressors, blowers, chemical transfer /dosing pumps overhauls & its spares replacement including alignment works.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
