Job Description
The Hamilton International School is seeking an experienced and dedicated Secondary English Teacher to join our team on a short-term maternity cover contract from May to June 2026. The ideal candidate will be a LOCAL HIRE and will ensure continuity of high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment in English, supporting students across Grades 6–12 within the High School Diploma and/or IB Diploma Programme.
Responsibilities
- Teach English in Grades 6–8 and Grades 9–12
- Deliver engaging lessons
- Implement existing schemes of work
- Monitor student progress
- Maintain high standards of classroom management
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a relevant English / Literature discipline
- Valid teaching certification meeting Qatar MoEHE requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ relevant teaching experience
