Communications and Digital Media Associate with UNWomen
Job Description
The position is located within UN Women Jordan Country Office. The Communications and Digital Media Associate will work under the direct supervision of the Communications Specialist and support the office to fulfil its advocacy and communications roles. S/He will work closely with the UN interagency Communications Group and the UN family in Jordan.
Responsibilities
- Provide support to the planning and design of external communication and advocacy strategies
- Monitor and analyze print and social media
- Create visual content including photos, video, audio, and infographics
- Draft stories, press releases and other written content
- Manage content for website and social media platforms
- Support the maintenance of a visibility/communications/events calendar
- Coordinate media relations and establish relevant relationships
- Support the organization of conferences and workshops
Qualifications
- Candidate must be a national, legal resident or hold refugee status in Jordan
- Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or related fields
- 2 years of proven experience in strategic social media outreach
- Fluent in Arabic and English
