Job Description
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their innovative team. This role involves designing, developing, and testing mechanical components, systems, and products. You will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of mechanical engineering projects, from conceptualization to production, ensuring all designs meet performance, quality, and safety standards. Your responsibilities will include conducting detailed analysis, creating 3D models and technical drawings using CAD software, and performing simulations to validate designs. You will also oversee the manufacturing process, troubleshoot design issues, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, software developers, and project managers.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, materials science, and stress analysis. Experience with a variety of manufacturing processes (e.g., CNC machining, injection molding, 3D printing) is essential. You should be adept at using advanced simulation and analysis tools (e.g., ANSYS, SolidWorks Simulation) to predict and optimize product performance. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, strong leadership capabilities, and excellent communication skills to effectively present technical information and guide junior engineers. The ability to manage project timelines and budgets efficiently is crucial.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test mechanical systems and components for new products.
- Create detailed 3D CAD models, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Perform stress, thermal, and fluid dynamics analysis using simulation software.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical, software, manufacturing) to ensure integrated product development.
- Oversee prototyping and testing phases, analyzing results and iterating on designs.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Specify materials and manufacturing processes, working closely with suppliers.
- Investigate and resolve design and manufacturing issues.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes and standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in mechanical design and development.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA).
- Strong experience with FEA and CFD simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, COMSOL).
- Deep understanding of mechanics of materials, thermodynamics, and fluid dynamics.
- Knowledge of various manufacturing processes and materials.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
