Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Equipment Sales Engineer to join our team in the Equipment dept. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in driving sales and promoting our range of engineering equipment to a diverse clientele. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and sales acumen, as you will be responsible for understanding customer needs, providing tailored solutions, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify potential clients and understand their equipment needs
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and demonstrations of our equipment to prospective clients
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to design customized solutions that meet client specifications
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing with clients while ensuring profitability for the company
  • Provide ongoing support and training to clients post-sale to ensure optimal equipment usage
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions in the CRM system
  • Attend industry trade shows and networking events to promote our products and services
  • Stay informed about competitors and market trends to identify new sales opportunities
  • Prepare detailed reports on sales performance and market conditions for management review

Qualifications

  • A degree in engineering or a related field, with a strong understanding of Mechanical Engineering principles
  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in the equipment or engineering sector
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess client needs and provide effective solutions
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend events
  • A proactive approach to learning about new products and industry developments
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus
