Credit and Risk Manager - Saudi National
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Credit and Risk Manager to lead and oversee the credit function within a finance company in Saudi Arabia. The role is responsible for managing credit risk, evaluating financing applications, setting credit policies, and ensuring sound credit decisions that align with the company’s risk guidelines and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the credit assessment and approval process for financing applications
- Evaluate customer credit worthiness using financial analysis, risk models, and credit reports
- Develop, implement, and maintain credit policies, procedures, and approval frameworks
- Monitor the quality of the credit portfolio and identify potential risks and early warning signals
- Ensure compliance with internal credit controls and Saudi regulatory requirements
- Work closely with Risk, Finance, Operations, and Sales teams
- Review and approve credit limits, terms, and conditions
- Oversee credit documentation and ensure accuracy and completeness
- Support collections and recovery teams
- Prepare credit reports and portfolio performance analysis
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Master’s is a plus)
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in credit management or a similar role within a finance or lending company
- Hands-on experience dealing with regulatory authorities in Saudi Arabia (SAMA, CMA)
- Must be based in Saudi Arabia
- Strong experience in credit risk assessment and portfolio management
