KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Follow all relevant department policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
• Develop and maintain documentation, procedures, and systems necessary to ensure that material needs and requirements are effectively met, including the preparation of material management plan when necessary.
• Responsible for monitoring the storage of materials in storage location, ensuring that all requirements for storage (including controlled storage, where applicable), A/C & light system explosion proof, etc. are adhered to.
• Plan and conduct surveillance audit on stored materials, and report accordingly ensuring the company wide HSEQ standards, policies and procedures are applied.
• Monitor incoming material quality and ensure the materials conform to the specifications and/or other applicable requirements.
• Ensure that project dossiers, including vendor material documents, are compiled, reviewed, and approved prior to submission.
• Liaise with project management team, clients, other departments like Production, Planning and Engineering etc. to ensure material storage-related risks and opportunities are communicated during bid & tendering stage, and then project execution phase.
• Interpret relevant codes, standards, and specifications applicable to material selection, handling and overall management, and implementation of these requirements in the day-to-day management of different kinds of materials.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable information security policies & procedures.
Education:
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
Professional Qualifications:
Certificate from either ASTM or ASME of material management courses or equivalent training program or equivalent.
