Chef de Partie (Short-Term) - Female
Job Description
Maintain adherence to sanitation/health regulations. Prepare ingredients for cooking, cook food according to recipes, and monitor food quality. Be aware of food and labor costs and monitor food levels to minimize waste. Provide new ideas and run the department in the absence of the Chef and Sous Chef.
Responsibilities
- Review assignments and anticipate business levels with the Chef
- Prepare ingredients including portioning and chopping
- Cook food according to recipes and presentation standards
- Ensure proper portion, arrangement, and food garnish
- Monitor food levels to minimize waste and meet forecasted costs
- Identify instances of shortages when items may run out
- Direct and assist Stewards for clean-up efficiency
- Run the department in the absence of the Chef and Sous Chef
- Disinfect kitchen area and tools
Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- At least 6 years of related work experience
- 1 year of supervisory experience is required
