Credit Analyst
Job Description
Conduct detailed credit analysis, financial modelling, underwriting support, and portfolio monitoring for SME and mid-market lending transactions. Ensure disciplined underwriting standards and risk-adjusted return alignment. Perform ratio analysis (DSCR, leverage, coverage). Build financial models for base case and stress scenarios. Prepare detailed credit memoranda for Investment Committee review. Evaluate collateral adequacy and recovery potential. Monitor ongoing borrower performance and covenant compliance. Review periodic financial reporting from borrowers.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis of borrowers
- Build and maintain financial models including stress scenarios
- Assess borrower creditworthiness in line with risk appetite
- Prepare detailed credit memoranda for Investment Committee
- Assist in structuring asset-backed and receivables financing
- Monitor ongoing borrower performance and covenant compliance
- Identify early warning signals in portfolio performance
- Ensure all credit files are complete and audit-ready
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business
- 2– 5 years’ experience in SME banking, Corporate credit analysis, or Direct lending
- CFA Level I or progression toward professional certification is an advantage
