Curriculum Support Specialist
Job Description
The Curriculum Support Specialist supports the Director of Curriculum in executing, refining, and maintaining high-quality curriculum and related support materials that are accurate, aligned, and ready for implementation at scale. In this multifaceted remote role, you will apply sound instructional design principles, data-informed decision-making, and responsible use of Generative AI tools to strengthen curriculum quality, consistency, and usability across programs.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Director of Curriculum to refine, revise, and improve instructional materials, lesson plans, and assessments
- Support lesson development by revising existing lessons and creating new lessons as needed
- Maintain and update curriculum documentation ensuring accuracy and consistency
- Use data, feedback, and internal insights to support targeted curriculum improvements
- Serve as a curriculum point of contact for cross-functional partners like Engineering and Customer Success
- Participate in internal and external implementation and sales calls
- Partner with lesson writers to support the execution of curriculum projects
- Provide guidance, review, and feedback to contractors
- Conduct quality checks and provide clear, actionable feedback to content creators
- Support the responsible and guided use of Generative AI tools to improve efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in K-12 education (Master’s preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in K–12 education, including classroom teaching, intervention, curriculum development, or instructional coaching
- Demonstrated success in curriculum design and lesson development
- Strong proficiency in Google Slides and familiarity with data-informed instructional practices
- Capable of effectively handling TK–8+ math and TK–12 ELA curriculum content
- Extensive knowledge of educational pedagogy, theories, state standards, and assessment methods
- Experience with or strong interest in Generative AI tools
- Proficiency in Google Workspace, Adobe, and virtual collaboration tools like Google Meet, Slack, and Zoom
