Job Description
This biology expert role at Crossing Hurdles involves training AI models by creating advanced Olympiad-style biology problems and evaluating AI-generated solutions. Responsibilities
- Write original, advanced Olympiad-style biology problems to challenge frontier AI models
- Evaluate AI-generated solutions for correctness, clarity, and scientific rigor
- Identify logical flaws, incomplete reasoning, or insufficiently rigorous explanations
- Provide clear, concise, and correct solutions with full reasoning using LaTeX
- Maintain extremely high standards of precision and problem difficulty
- Assess model failure modes to inform AI training and improvement
Qualifications
- Master’s or PhD in Biology or a closely related field, or strong background in biology Olympiads
- High proficiency in writing and formatting documents using LaTeX
- Deep understanding of core theoretical and experimental biology concepts
- Strong ability to articulate reasoning clearly in written form
- Rigorous attention to detail when verifying solutions and problem structure
