Education Counsellor - Canada and USA
Job Description
The Education Counsellor will provide excellent counselling services to guide international students to find the institution that best meets their learning and career aspirations. This includes providing students with the right information and advice on study opportunities, local education system, culture and geographic region, assisting with application documentation, facilitating enrolments, and promoting IDP products and services.
Responsibilities
- Counsel prospective students to identify appropriate study options
- Schedule and conduct phone discussions and office meetings
- Assist students in determining an appropriate shortlist of applications
- Support students through admissions, visa and pre-departure processes
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with students and families
- Identify opportunities to generate leads
- Maintain regular contact with key accounts like schools and scholarship bodies
- Process and submit applications to institutions and facilitate enrolments
- Attend client briefings, workshops and visits to institutions
- Provide input on marketing or promotional activities
- Identify and leverage opportunities to increase cooperation between student placement and IELTS operations
Qualifications
- Educated to bachelor’s degree level or equivalent
- Fluent in English
- Experience of working in a sales driven environment
- Knowledge of education institutions, admission processes, and immigration requirements
- Strong IT skills – Microsoft Office suite, CRM systems
