Supervise, coordinate, and monitor profile cutting and sub-assembly operations across assigned projects, workforce performance to ensure the efficient, safe, and high-quality installation of outfitting components on marine structures and vessels, in alignment with project specifications, timelines, and IMI Management System standards.
• Execute all assigned profile cutting and sub-assembly tasks safely and within scheduled timelines.
• Verify and adhere to all technical documentation, including profile nesting drawings, production drawings, and marking instructions.
• Select appropriate cutting equipment and methods based on job specifications and material requirements.
• Apply manual cutting techniques (e.g., chamfering) using portable machines such as IK-12 or a beveling machine, as required.
• Determine suitable bending procedures for various profile types to meet production standards.
• Confirm possession of valid work permits (Hot, Cold, Isolation, etc.) prior to initiating any work activity.
• Participate in daily safety and toolbox meetings and assess job-related risks proactively.
• Perform cutting operations in strict accordance with equipment operating manuals and technical drawings.
• Monitor material usage continuously to identify potential shortages and initiate timely corrective actions.
• Follow cutting preparation protocols and inspect finished cuts to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Inspect and maintain cutting tools and equipment regularly to uphold safety and operational efficiency.
• Report progress, delays, and resource need to project managers and senior leadership.
• Train and mentor reporting staff and workers to build technical competencies and ensure adherence to best practices.
• Demonstrate full compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Security (HSES) regulations and procedures.
• Technical Diploma or equivalent qualification
• At least 15 years’ experience in Offshore Shipyard/Ship repair Industry.
• Strong leadership, planning, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of CNC/Manual cutting method.
• Sound understanding of HSES standards.
• Good Communication Skills (oral and written) in the English Language.
