Vice President Operations
Job Description
A leading manufacturing organization is seeking a Vice President, North American Operations to lead operational performance across multiple facilities in the US and Mexico. Key Responsibilities: Lead and implement Lean manufacturing principles. Refresh and deploy a standardized manufacturing system and playbook. Partner with Plant Managers on automation strategies. Identify initiatives to improve asset performance and efficiency. Build a high-performance, continuous improvement culture. Work cross-functionally and lead change management efforts. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; MBA preferred. 10–15 years of manufacturing experience. 3–5 years as a Plant Manager or Operations Manager. 5+ years leading multiple manufacturing sites. Proven financial acumen with P&L responsibility. Background in polymer processing. Strong leadership capabilities. Salary: $245,000 - $280,000.
Responsibilities
- Lead and implement Lean manufacturing principles across the North American plant network
- Refresh and deploy a standardized manufacturing system and playbook
- Partner with Plant Managers to define and execute plant-level automation strategies
- Identify and implement initiatives that improve asset performance and operational efficiency
- Build, motivate, and sustain a high-performance, continuous improvement culture
- Lead change management efforts
- Participate in global benchmarking to define best practices
- Develop skills, capabilities, and leadership depth at all organizational levels
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; MBA preferred
- 10–15 years of manufacturing experience
- 3–5 years as a Plant Manager or Operations Manager
- 5+ years leading multiple manufacturing sites
- Proven financial acumen with P&L responsibility
- Experience with high-volume manufacturing
- Background in polymer processing (extrusion, blow molding, injection molding)
- Strong coaching, mentoring, and leadership capabilities
