Job Description
We’re looking for a skilled Oracle Cloud (OCI) Database Engineer to manage, optimise, and secure Oracle database systems on the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) platform for a leading Tech and Digital Transformation company based in Oman.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy and operate Oracle DB services in OCI
- Lead on‑premises to OCI migrations
- Conduct capacity planning, performance tuning, and backup/DR strategy
- Automate tasks with Terraform and Ansible
- Monitor systems and execute patches
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- 4+ years’ experience as an Oracle DBA or Database Engineer
- Strong experience in Oracle database administration: RMAN, Data Pump, Data Guard, GoldenGate
- Hands‑on experience with Terraform, OCI CLI, automation/scripting
- Fluent in English
